Many people ask me what I would say is the most important aspect of being an influencer. And it is a very good question. As someone who has more than a million followers and makes real money through Instagram, I am in a better position than most to talk about this platform. And I will say that in my experience, there are two crucial aspects to getting and maintaining success as an influencer.
Before we get into the two most important parts of being an influencer, we need to talk about getting more followers. Many people ask whether it makes sense to buy real Instagram followers. And I would say that it does, provided you do it in the right way. The key is to get followers, likes, views and comments in a good ratio.
Now we can move onto the two keys to being an influencer on this platform.
I found that if I was off on my posting schedule for a week, I would get a lot less engagement. And this is when I have a huge amount of followers. Looking back, I would say that my ability to stick to my schedule is why I was able to get so much traction on the platform.
When people are following your account, it no longer stays a casual relationship. They want to see more content from you. And they want to see it at the same time most days or weeks. They think of your posting as the latest episode of a TV show or radio program!
Say you want to post each day. Pick a time and stick to it. You will have an audience that will know when you post. They will come onto Instagram a few minutes after that hour and they will expect content!
Do not be afraid to engage with your audience. These are the people who are letting you make money. If you treat them as some random collection of people, it will not go well.
What I found is that when I did question and answer sessions, or just responded to random comments, I got a lot more engagement in return. People will want to post a relevant comment because they know that you are reading those comments.
Try not to go get into serious arguments or ideological conversations, as Instagram is not the place for such content. Keep it fun and light, but also be informative. Say you are reviewing a product, you should be willing to answer questions that people have about that product.
If I am feeling lazy on some days, I will not engage as much. And I find that such posts have much fewer comments. Sometimes it can even translate to less views the next day, as my audience is a bit disappointed I did not respond to their comments the previous day!
Those who are committed to being an influencer should know that it is a lot of hard work. But if you can stick to a schedule and engage with your audience, you can have a lot of success on the platform.
